RASS-IBC is Cornell’s research administration support system for managing applications (MUAs) to the Cornell Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC). The IBC reviews and approves all research activities involving the use of r/sNA and/or biohazardous materials for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
On this page you will find:
- Links to step-by-step documentation for many common tasks within the RASS-IBC system (see left navigation)
- Other ways to seek help with using the IBC system (e.g., training, support)
If you are looking for non-system information about the IBC submission and review process, or anything else pertaining to research related activities involving recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules (r/sNA) and other biohazardous materials at Cornell, please visit the Institutional Biosafety Committee section of the Cornell Research Services website.
